Thanks to entrepreneurs Jerry Perez and Ana Orselli, Mora Iced Creamery has been providing top-quality ice cream to Kitsap County for over 10 years. They started their first store on Bainbridge Island after arriving here with their family from Buenos Aires, Argentina, and since then they have expanded to facilities in Poulsbo and Kingston.

Jerry is the CEO of Mora Iced Creamery and has a long history of entrepreneurial business activities, with Ana as the creative and brand genius behind the company’s amazing growth. Together, Jerry and Ana see America’s readiness for the Mora Ice Cream revolution.

Ana and Jerry found inspiration when they thought about how their great-grandmother would make ice cream in her home. They remember that she would only use the freshest ingredients that she could find, and lovingly hand-craft every flavor in every batch for the enjoyment of her friends and family. Mora’s unique blending of wholesome ingredients and a proprietary manufacturing process allows nature to do its job brilliantly to produce an unforgettable taste.

Mora has developed more than 70 flavors, and on any given day you’ll find 48 flavors on hand. As their website states, “With so many options, there’s sure to be a flavor to suit every palate. This artisanal process allows our ingredients to marry into intense, rich flavors with a sensual, velvety, smooth texture.”

Since the earliest release of products, Mora has been honored with recognition by the media and food critics across the nation. From TV to national magazines, the word is out that Mora Ice Cream is the Gold Standard in artisan ice cream. Martha Stewart, KING 5, KIRO News, Seattle Weekly Magazine, The Seattle Times, Food & Wine Magazine, Horizon Air, Sunset Magazine, are just a few that have acknowledged Mora’s reputation for quality.

Mora continues to grow to keep up with demand and is launching a national franchise opportunity modeled after their successful retail stores that leverages their amazing products. In addition, Mora just moved into a new 10,000 square foot ice cream manufacturing facility in Poulsbo in 2015. Thanks to their new facility, this small Bainbridge Island start-up company is going national.

When Jerry and Ana were developing their vision and strategy to take their company national, they quickly realized that they needed a new IT services company to help them achieve their lofty goals. Jerry describes his company’s IT experience, “After Help Desk Cavalry took over responsibilities for IT infrastructure my life changed for the better,” Jerry says. “With the previous outsourced IT company, when I came to work in the morning, I dreaded that I would find employees complaining that they couldn’t get their work done due to technology issues.”

“With my current IT services company, Help Desk Cavalry, it’s a new day, where I don’t have IT issues as my primary experience. Technical issues still happen occasionally, but now, IT issues are immediately handled. For example, last month I had a computer issue that I reported to Help Desk Cavalry. A technician actually responded within five minutes. Within ten minutes, the issue was resolved remotely from their headquarters in Bremerton WA. Even more amazing, the next day, the Help Desk Cavalry technician called to follow up to see if the issue was still resolved. I was wowed! I am super happy!”

“We manufacture ice cream and distribute to customers all over the world, and through our retail stores,” Jerry continues. “Technology is in every piece of manufacturing equipment, it’s intelligent equipment that helps me run my business. The retail stores are powered with technology so we cannot do business and grow without a reliable technology partner. That’s Help Desk Cavalry.”

Jerry and Ana are looking forward to growing their business, and they anticipate having fifty stores across the country by 2020. Their hope is that, in the decades to come, their loyal customers will say that Mora stayed true to their founding values and never lost the fire that made their company great.
