Kitsap Garage Door is a family-owned, local company which brings garage door installation and repairs to residential clients and contractors in the surrounding area. Since opening in 1975, this small business now consists of a team of fourteen crew members, two sales representatives, and three office personnel. John Ramer, the president, took over for his father and strives to treat all employees, long-term and new, like the family they are. Amongst the integral staff is office manager, Chelsea Browning, who has been with them for thirteen years.

Since technology is a critical aspect of Kitsap Garage Door Co., keeping on top of the latest offerings has been important. Everything from scheduling to job locations to client information is transmitted to all team members using mobile devices such as phones, tablets, and laptops. This makes on-the-go security a top priority.

In the years past, KGD relied much less on technology.  As the business grew, it became clear to John that the company’s IT needs would best be met by working with a professional.  This realization lead to a partnership with Matt Hadlock, who was able to assist with IT support. While he did an excellent job for ten years, Matt joined the Help Desk Cavalry team and Kitsap Garage Door Co. followed, becoming a client shortly thereafter.

Help Desk Cavalry has become an important partner of the family at Kitsap Garage Door Co. The IT specialists are excellent at contacting team members to resolve issues without interference from Chelsea who has been able to “not have to worry about IT and have trust that the job will be done right.” She and the rest of the staff are thankful to be able to “focus on the business end of things and not have to worry that the technology will work.”
