Finance Manager

Position: Finance Manager 

Type: Permanent Full-time 

Salary/Pay: $72K – $90K (DOE) 

General Summary: 

Help Desk Cavalry (HDCav) is a Managed Service Provider (MSP) that manages computer networks, phone systems & technology vendors for our local small business clients. HDCav is seeking a Finance Manager to be responsible for our accounting activities, including A/P, A/R, payroll, taxes, and the overall financial operations of the organization. The Finance Manager should have a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success of our company through effective financial management. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Oversee and manage the financial operations of the company 
  • Process payroll through PEO 
  • Work with CPA to compute taxes and prepare tax returns 
  • Develop and implement financial policies and procedures 
  • Monitor and analyze financial data, prepare financial reports, and provide recommendations 
  • Ensure compliance with accounting principles, regulations, and reporting requirements 
  • Manage the budgeting process and assist in financial planning and forecasting 
  • Conduct risk analysis and develop strategies to mitigate financial risks 
  • Perform financial analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement 
  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors during audits and reviews 

Abilities Required: 

  • All aspects of financials for a business 
  • Technically savvy, detail oriented ,and organized 
  • Ability to adapt to changes 
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage their priorities 
  • Ability to take direction of company direction and design it through accounting 

Qualifications: 

  • Accounting degree or equivalent education, experience, and training 
  • Professional certification such as CPA or CMA is highly desirable 
  • Proven experience as a Finance Manager or similar role 
  • Strong knowledge of technical accounting principles and financial reporting standards 
  • Proficiency in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting 
  • Experience with regulatory reporting requirements 
  • Solid understanding of financial analysis techniques and risk management principles 
  • Familiarity with governmental accounting practices is a plus 
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data 
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting 
  • Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online, Microsoft Excel, and other financial software
