John Benjamin

Sr. Technical Account Manager 

John is the founder of Cavu Networks, a highly respected Managed Services firm that was established in 2002 and joined with HDCav in 2020. He has worked in IT for over three decades: as a technical programs manager at Microsoft (Sales and Marketing) from 1991 through 1998, then working as individual IT consulting in 1998, formalizing Cavu Networks in 2002. He is now putting his decades of IT experience to use as HDCav’s Sr. Technical Account Manager. As a pilot and technology enthusiast, John is a natural problem-solver. He appreciates employing his talents to find the best possible business solutions for clients, and it’s an added bonus that he’s able to work with a team of professionals who are excited to learn cool new technology. If he’s not in a plane, on a boat, or traveling, he’s teaching himself the drums or enjoying baseball. He’s also busy raising two high-school boys and keeping close to his dog, Lucie, who many clients have come to know.

John is a big fan of Kitsap County and Puget Sound communities. His favorite nonprofits include Childhaven, Salish Sea Expeditions, Kitsap Humane Society, and Bainbridge Island Spartronics Team 4915. The best advice he’s been given is “Perfectionism is the mother of procrastination.”
